Sometimes, *it takes two* tries 😉 If you know me and have worked with me, you know that I’ll periodically check in on the systems we’ve put together. After you’ve lived in the system for some time, you’ll recognize if it’s working well for you and fitting your habits and routines. Sometimes, we need to go back and edit a few things and, sometimes, we need to completely re-think it! My job is to make sure we create spaces that work for you. If you outgrow a system or space, I’ll suggest a new one ✨🫶🏼

My client wanted his office closet to double as home for his everyday work and clothes and storage for some office files and supplies. Each type of clothing has its own hanging zone now, and there are simple systems in place to aid in easy maintenance and functionality. Keep it simple, zone out your categories, and only keep what you need in each space of your home.

I’m now hooked on @spiceityourway and her products 🤩 You can send her a list of all of the spices you keep on hand and she will send you pre-labeled jars for decanting. You can also purchase pre-filled and pre-labeled spice jars from her! 🎉🙌🏼

The bottom line for organizing your linen closets: figure out how you want to sort your sheets, find a fold that works best for you, and then contain those categories in bins 💕 Some people like to categorize their linen closets by bed size, some like to have a basket containing sheets for each specific room, and others just like to have each bed set folded all together. Choose what works best for you and your household 😉

Loving this shelf makeover for one of my junior clients 🤍 He has an incredible stuffed animal collection 🤩

This is such a dramatic song choice 😂 but then again, this is a dramatic transformation. If you know me, you know I love a storage room project. Beginning to end it’s exciting, such a good work out 😂 (moving boxes and building shelves) and, overall, just super rewarding for all parties involved. I was thrilled with the outcome of this one! 🤩

Linen Closet Magic 🪄✨

There’s always a way to make your linen organization functional and aesthetic, even with shallow shelving. ———
•Start by figuring out if you want to sort your linens by bedroom, bed sizes, or by linen set.
•From there, contain your categories in baskets that fit well in your space, fold them in a way that’s functional for you, and label away.
•Make sure you only hang on to the linens that you need! I always advise to keep no more than 2 sets of linens per bed.

As a clutter happy space with outgrown systems and unclear zones, this drop zone was not serving my clients in the ways they needed it to. We pulled everything out, sorted and edited, decided what items are every day essentials and which ones could be re-homed, and then sourced product that helped streamline their daily drops in a neat manner 🙌🏼

We focused on using things my client already had on hand. This one was a dream day-project for one of my sweetest clients to date. I love my job!

The main focuses were to better utilize the available wall and shelf spaces, remove clutter from the floor, and create clear zones for each category of their accessories.

I’m so thankful for the good, the bad and the ugly that has overwhelmed me over this past year. The highs have been unparalleled and the lows have reminded me how strong I am. I’m excited to continue showing up every day eager to learn, push through the overwhelm, and make every day better than the last. Thank you to my village! This journey is so special to me. Pretty & Pink! @target for the win on this project. We used @pillowfortbytarget bins with handles on a tension rod to utilize some awkward vertical space. I love getting creative with it!

Let’s break it down!
Key products for this transformation included:

✅ S-Hooks and a 2 foot tension rod. Bam 💥 This is arguably one of my favorite hacks for ball cap/hat storage. How cute? How functional? How easy? 🙌🏼
✅ Velvet hangers (a couple more packs in order to hang more items - most people do better with hanging systems than folding systems). I prefer any slim hanger - wooden, plastic, velvet, it’s up to you but let’s make sure it is slim! (@neatmethod has beautiful slim wooden hangers, by the way)
✅ a couple baskets for small zones (beanies, gloves, etc) to supplement the already existing larger baskets for big zones (pajamas, sweatpants, etc)
✅ hanging dividers to separate hanging zones. I find these to be so much more helpful than they seem!👀

Other elements of this transformation included…
✅ Moving the shelving around quite a bit per usual 🤪 It makes all the difference!
✅ Raising a hanging bar to better use vertical space and spread out hanging zones. The clearer your zones are, the more maintainable the system is… and it’s generally prettier 💁🏻‍♀️
✅ Filling each part of the closet shelving with baskets or design pieces… some of these baskets are empty so that there’s room for growth (important!), and some shelves hold space fillers to avoid drop zones and piling of clutter 😉

We were folding to fit lots of tiny clothes for two kiddos into one dresser, so we did a good bit of tuck/file folds throughout all drawers in order to create zones for all categories and sizes of clothing. I really could fold tiny human clothes all day ❤️

This nursery closet is pretty and organized with lots of room to grow for my junior client and her parents… which is good because their family is growing this spring 😉🥰 stay tuned to see how we make this space super functional for a toddler and a newborn.

I’m really loving this long-hanging trick posted by @thesavvyspace 😍 I found it just in time to tackle this closet that had a ton of long-hanging dresses and skirts, but no long hanging space. 🙌🏼🤩

If you had the space, would you hang your athletic tanks and tees? I know I’m “team hang-everything-you-can”, but many of my clients find folding to be easier. Team fold or team hang? 😂
